About Us
The Nest is owned by Devin and Kaytrin Ziemann, the two met while working locally at another restaurant. they made the decision to open a fast casual hamburger spot called Crave Burgers and Frozen yogurt in 2015.
After two years of great success at Crave they were excited to start another culinary venture which brings us to the Cuckoos Nest in 2017. After finding the location for The Nest in November of 2019, being set to open March 2020, the pandemic hit and this plan was put on hold. After spending a few months focusing on the Albany locations they were able to get back to Schenectady and finish this exciting project. in 2021 they began the plans to build their fourth restaurant inside an old bank, MILAS restaurant and bar will be opening in June of 2024 and right now feels like the final piece to their culinary puzzle.
They both live locally, raising their two young children together while growing their restaurant brand. They truly value being a part of this community always finding way to give back and make all guests feel welcome and appreciated. If 2020 has taught us anything, it's to be kind to one another. Both partners in business and life, having three restaurants they created the brand Ziemann Hospitality and are frequently seen at one restaurant or another.
